Yeah everybody has those moments. Mostly we are good people who do things sometimes that we are not so proud of, but the fact that we acknowledge that points to how we are really. I guess sometimes the opposite applies. As life goes on you keep learning about yourself all the time and new experiences and new people influence you so you do change.
I work in IT by day and drum in a band at night. I have to be two different people but at the same time retain the sense of who I am. Sure I can have a laugh etc at work but you have to know when to pull on the reins, you can't take things as far. Sometimes you adapt to a situation consciously like that, sometimes you do it without thinking and then ask yourself "why did I just act like that?". The fact you recognise that probably means you won't do it next time.
I wouldn't worry too much.

Pete sounds like someone who'll make you feel horrid. I don't want that to happen to you...i can't afford the plane ticket to come chase him down.
I don't think you ever have to worry about nobody wanting you. You're far too enchanting, and much too interesting for that to happen. If you're a virgin 20 years from now, you'll still be beating men and women off with a stick! (we've a nice selection, and today's special is oak. :lol: )
And on your journal entry .. wheres the rule book that says 'thou must have done it by so and so age' . When its right you'll just know , don't worry about it.
Also 'the lovely bones' was a rather nice book .. i'd never read anything quite like that before.
