I had the happiest afternoon yesterday. I meditated * for a while, and then I did some gardening. **
* I found an online quiz that tells you how open each of your chakras is. I love that sort of thing, and you get your results in graph form. Take it now!
** It's all very well deciding to clear out the greenhouse so that I can grow tomatoes, but I'm still terrified of spiders and there are some real horror stories in there. "Who lives under a paving slab like this?" aUgh.
A couple of months ago I realised that the big Writers Group, and the elitist off-shoot Critique Group, are going really well, and because of this I got worried that I was likely to quit. It harrasses me when I feel obliged to stick with something bigger than myself - even though Critique Group is exactly the thing that I've always wanted to be part of - and historical evidence suggested I'd probably jack it in before long. It's shit when you can't trust yourself. Anyway the big group had its committee elections the other week. So what I did was join the committee as Vice Chair. Haha. Dare you to quit now.

I've been promising myself for a couple of years now that I'd do a transcendental mediation course, but you have to commit to 2x20min mediations per day to get the most out of it, and I'm not sure I'm disciplined enough.
Sigh, an online test with graphed results? Yeah, okay, I'm a sucker for those.
Glad the groups are still doing good for 'ya. Best of luck with the Vice Chairing (what an appropriate seat...)
