An update. Whataya know?
I must admit that I've been quite negligible when it has come to this SG blog. Its almost been two months here, and this is only my second one.
Anyway... I had a few minutes of time so I just thought I'd give an update for anyone who wants to know.
School is almost over, and its becoming quite painful to attend. I admit, at one time I was actually a good student - always came to class, always did my work, etc - but after five years, and the fact that Im almost finished, I've become quite the slacker. It doesn't help either that I took all of the interesting classes a couple of years back, and now I'm stuck with boring stuff like Accounting.
Things are just so much more interesting on the music front, that I really couldn't care less about my education. While that sounds kind of bad, trust me, it isn't. I don't regret going to college at all. It's been a great time and I've learned a lot. In fact, the college experience was a necessary one for me to become the person I am today, and I'm grateful for that. I just need a break. If I have to write another term paper, I'm going to kill someone (5 years is around 15 quarters, and on average of 2 term papers a quarter, equals about 30 term papers).
Anyway.... like I said, the music thing is just a much more fulfilling part of my life right now, and I'd love to give that my 100% attention. I'm not under the delusion of being rich and famous. I just want to make good art, and then tour endlessly for the rest of my life - meet new people, travel from city to city, and have great experiences.

i'm finally done with my essays! turning the rest of the written stuff in tomorrow. i should probably be finishing up note-taking for my course file right now i'm so burnt out on school work even though i did have a couple of interesting topics. performance art after the 1960s being my favorite, although in the end i did start warming up to my essay on the factors that conditioned the development of landscape gardens in britain between 1750-1800. i don't mind doing research for essays, and even writing them if i feel like i know plenty about my subject, but i'm not usually interested enough, or can't find books that hold my attention and don't make me fall asleep...in the wrong hands art history can be horribly boring and drama's even worse. especially when you start getting into postmodern metaphysical ideas about everything and suddenly the authors are making up words all over the place and not telling you what they mean -end mini rant-
