So the colleges are on strike. Meaning I've got nothing to do. If this was highschool I'd be extatic, but it's not. I paid for this semester and now I've gotta wait. This is gay, and not in the two hot girls making out sorta way.
I can't even really go and try and get hours at work, because I can't commit to a work schedual in case the strike ends.
All this I could live with, however, it gets worse.
Syd works for Georgebrown collage taking notes for disabled kids. She can't work because the teachers are on strike, and unlike everyone else who works for the school (non teacher people), she isn't going to keep getting paid. I don't know if the teachers union is giving the teachers any money while being on strike, but I do know that we arn't getting a dime.
Me being in school, Syd is the bread winner right now and brings in most of the money. Well, WAS bringing in the money. I don't know what we're going to do if this strike lasts awhile. theoretically would could like, get kicked out or not eat or something. WEEE go teachers.
You know, they say the issue is class size, yet the average class is 28 or 29 people. How exactly is that bad? I don't notice any problems in any classes, no students getting left behind. The teachers I talked to don't even support this strike. Gay. Ghey even.
