I thought I would update you all with a few pictures from my weekend on the 35mm short film, "Storage Ain't EZ" (working title).
The man dressed in the paint ball gear might look familiar, that is Steve Carrell of "The Daily Show" who had a part in this film.
Now THAT is what I call a camera...Panavision 35mm at it's best!
Here is the camera on the Stedicam for a tracking shot down the hallway.
And here is the dolly track we setup for the final shot of the film.
Another interesting story about today. The Grip/Electric department where I was working was being paid very little money to work on this project with the promise of 12 hours days, no more...so when we hit hour 12 and production was not even close to finishing for the day, and no comment had been made to us if we can stay later, we staged a walk-out and left the set. The 2nd AD came out to talk to us and we were able to workout some overtime pay, which basically doubled our day rate for today. Thank god for union minded people, BUY AMERICAN!!
