We are one day away from Memorial Day... and I still wonder how many people realize what Monday is supposed to be representative of? Super furniture and garden furniture sales... cars must go and the deal of a lifetime... but, tommorrow morning, we are going to wake up to news about more soldiers fighting it out in Iraq... there might be news about fighting in Afghanistan... and there will be news about someone leaving a wreath or bouquet in memory of past veterans... but, I believe it should be a reflection on Freedoms... the freedom we have to say whatever we want here on the computer, or in public, or in speeches given to a mass of people that share the same ideals... we have the freedom to shop where we want, to wear the style of clothing we want, the type of car or motorcycle we want to drive, we have the right to chose where we want to live, or travel to... and we have a right to either agree or disagree with our government and openly express our praise for or dissent against... that is what Monday will be all about... because this Old Marine spent 22 years ensuring that no one would ever take those Freedoms away from you.... SEMPER FI. You guys are the best!

I want to thank you for your years of service, I mean no disrespect Sir.
I see it as a reflection of who we've lost and remembering them.
