Tell me something about your stars tattoos?

I love tattoos that work with the shape of the body, which is something I want to expand on. I like how the stars get bigger in the middle and smaller at both ends. Although lots of people have star tattoos, I haven't seen anyone else use them in lines up and down their spines and fronts. I also love the fact that I have a cute little star on my cunt. ;)

Tell me about your first tattoo?

My first tattoo was my bat wings, which I got when I was 17. They're my biggest tattoo so far, but I'll get bigger ones. I got the wings and one star in the middle, and then I thought I'd continue on the star theme, and got them all down my spine in New York, then later down my front in the UK. Bats are my favorite animals, I love hearing them chirping and flying around in the evenings. They're free. But they're shy as mice. I had pet mice once, I wish I could have pet bats.

Tell me about your most recent tattoo?

I went to Portugal on a holiday with a bunch of Suicide Girls. It was PARTY EVERY DAY. At least for me! Portuguese wine is amazing. Such a great time. We all got a sis tat - its the symbol of Lisbon - a ship with two ravens.

Which tattoo is the most meaningful?

They're all meaningful in different ways, but I like to keep the meanings private. I think maybe the tooth and key design is the most meaningful. I had a dream about it, and I kind of came to a realization about something when I woke up. Morning epiphany. Whenever I get tattoos as a result of dreams, they come out well and I have no regrets. So I make a point to do that!

Which tattoo was the most painful?

My elbow took 4 hours. After the 2nd hour it was really hurting. In the third hour it went numb. In the fourth hour I got a pain under my boob. I guess it was to do with nerve endings.

Would you say your tattoos follow a specific style?

I love old school, traditional. I love thick black outlines. I don't like pretty girly delicate tattoos, I like em hard and heavy. I don't think any of my tattoos would look out of place on a dude. That's important to me because my views on gender are complicated. There are a lot more tattoos I want to get. I want to be covered eventually, but I'm not in a rush.

Have you designed any of your tattoos?

Yes, I designed all of them, to some extent or another. I thought I wanted to be a tattoo artist for a while so I spent years filling up sketchbooks with tattoo designs and talking to artists. After speaking to a lot of people in the business, I decided it wasn't for me, at least not at that time. I have so much respect for the artists though. Anyway, usually I'll come in with a drawing, and then I'll leave it with them and they'll make it better. They do it everyday, and they'll often have cool ideas, so sometimes the design gets tweaked. Sometimes it doesn't though, and they use my image completely.

Tell us a funny/cool story about your tattoos.

One time me and my friend were at a festival on an island in the middle of a lake in Budapest, and we were super drunk, and we thought we should get tattoos together. He doesn't have any! So normally I wouldn't persuade him to do it because I think that's a big responsibility, a first tattoo. We ended up in a caravan, and this guy was drawing out designs, and I thought I'd get the symbol of Budapest, but it turns out that's a really boring flag. We bailed, we just ran out, and we spent the whole festival trying to hide from these thugs. They were everywhere! I feel bad about running out on those guys, but also, they shouldn't be tattooing drunk people, so I don't feel that bad. Luckily, the next night, I chased after this guy who stole some sunglasses from a stall. I handed them back to the owners and they were so impressed them gave me the sunglasses to keep - they were like monster eyes glasses. So they came in handy for my incognito look, which also involved a purple wig.
