The thing that always works for me when I have too many worries or feel mentally tired is playing dance music and dancing and singing loudly throughout the house. I know, it sounds funny, but I swear it changes my mood, the music makes me feel happy or if I was very angry, I miss a bit.
Another thing that has done me very well to prevent stress is doing yoga. I went back to doing yoga a few months ago (I had not done that practice for years) and I feel that my mind relaxes and my body is more flexible. Now I am wanting to change my eating habits, maybe in a few months I can give up meat.
And I tell you my last trick for when I am very upset with someone but I don't want to fight, I hold a pillow against my face covering it and I scream very loud to release my anger. Never hold back the anger that we later get sick.
