I have a serious dilemma and need ideas from anyone that has one!

I have a funeral to attend on Thursday, which I just found out about today.
It is 600 miles away.
I have $100 I am borrowing from my mom. (Not Enough!)
My car is really old and kind of iffy.
I have no one to come with me except my dog.
I have to get there and back in the shortest time possible, since I'll already be missing work for it.
I'll probably be sleeping in my car when I get there, but that's okay with me. It just means I really need to bring my dog.

What do I do?

I agree with previous posts... I wouldn't go. What good will come of you going? Is it something that you're doing because you feel like you should be there? Because other people expect you to be there? Have you been to a funeral before?- If so, did it actually help ease your pain at all?
I'd suggest sending flowers from home and saving yourself all the frustration on top of all the sadness. Good luck. frown

What about a train? Those are safe, and you sleep on the way there and back.
