so im supposed to be at home having a rest considering im sick and all that. well im all fidgety and i cant sit still. i would have just gone and lazed in the garden but typically the sun has fucked off!
last night a friend came over to keep me company for a few hours. he phoned me on monday and i didnt sound "vikki-like" so he thought i needed some cheering up. (seriously people im a bit poorly, im not dying or depressed). it was somewhat entertaining though. cups of tea and his running commentary of the fuckwits that are on the apprentice was quite funny.
jen is back home tonight, its not until really late but having her home is cool. as much as i would like to move out and live on my own again surrounded by my own crap, i would miss the girls too much.
so i didnt get this job at work, which is fine, im over it. but yesterday the director of the department asked me if i would support the temp that have got in (yes thats right TEMP) during the interim period until the position was filled!!!!! i was a bit like hold up....... im not good enough but you can get a chuffing monkey temp in and then have the cheek to ask me to support the temp!!!! i was actually quite offended. i said to adrian (the director guy) that i was a little busy with my own project work but i was able to answer any questions the temp has. i thought let the fuckers get on with it!!!!!!
but on a more positive note about work.... as you all know im job hunting...... but here is the cool thing, i have been working on 2 major industry leading conferences which are happening in june. i was just doing al the back of house stuff and the actual events coordinator gets to do the fun stuff. well yesterday she asked me if i would managed 1 of the events on my own. just me, no one else! as you can imaging i was like errr yes!!!!!!
ove done all the tricky organisational stuff for both the dublin and coventry events, but i am running the coventry 1 on my own. its going to be so awesome!!!! either way its great for me as it gives me the industry leader bollocks to stick on my cv and it shows my company what i can do. (all they currently think is that i make things look pretty and organise "fun" activities - according to my cock of a director) woo hoo!!!!!! im so excited that im actually goining to explode!!!!!
anyway im off now as i have a date with some jam on toast, a cup of tea and prison break series 3.
