Just wanted to share a record that's been on heavy rotation in my ears since March, it's Elder's third album Lore.
Heart it first in the Wake Up At the Other End of the Universe podcast - which is an excellent source for all things stoner/psych btw - and instantly got hooked up on "Legend" then went after the album.
To quote the band's release on Bandcamp: "By giving equal credence to riffs and atmosphere, Lore bypasses genre constraints, the group's penchant for progressive songwriting and melody shining more brightly than ever."
Seriously, this record is amazing, incredibly well placed riffs over creative songwriting and a slight medieval feel that doesn't feel neither too proggy or nerdy, the stoner-esque guitar bends explains it all.
Burn a good one while you enjoy it for maximum awesomeness.
