It's almost Nathan's birthday and I'm still not sure what I'll be able to afford as a surprise for him.
He deserves something really special.
I'm thinking a nice hotel room in Houston so we can explore all the touristy city stuff we haven't done since we moved here.

I just want to see his big smile

In other news, I was offered a pit puppy and I really want her so badly, but Nixon likes to be the center of my affection.
And Nathan reminds me why a dog would complicate things, even though he really wants her too.
My sister (also our roommate) doesn't want a dog in the apartment anyhow.

But having to work with dogs all day makes me really want one.
I love dogs...but maybe now is just not the time.
We'd name her something really cool though.
