Death by RedBull!
Why, oh why, are people so gullible? The other day, I had mentioned to someone that I drink RedBull everyday and my friends response was, "Oh my god, that stuff is soooooo bad for you!". When I asked why, she responded, "I don't know someone just told me that it's bad for you and it is!". Then someone else chimes in with, "Yeah, a bunch of people have died from just drinking too much RedBull!". Um, yeah. Let me guess, your friends, sisters, ex-boyfriend sat behind someone on the bus that was talking about knowing someone's brother that died from a RedBull overdose. People seriously believe anything they hear, don't they...If you're going to argue with me, please know what you are talking about. At least make some sort of effort to aquire some knowledge about something before you claim to have an opinion about it (this extends into politics too, but I'm not about to touch that one). RedBull is just re-marketed soda. Here are the ingredients:
~Water
~Sucrose - a two-part sugar made of glucose and fructose. Known as table sugar or white sugar, it is found naturally in sugar cane and in beets.
~Glucose - a simple sugar made by the body from carbohydrates in food.
~Sodium Citrate - sodium citrate helps maintain pH levels in soft drinks.
~Taurine - a colorless crystalline substance obtained from the bile of mammals (you are a mammal, you produce Taurine, it's natural dummy and no, you can not OD on it).
~Glucuronolactone - a naturally-occurring metabolite, a carbohydrate produced by the human metabolic system.
~Caffeine - Redbull contains only 80mg of caffeine, less then 1/3rd of the caffeine you'll find in a Starbucks coffee.
~Inositol - A sugar-like vitamin B-factor is involved in the metabolism of cholesterol & fats; vital for hair growth & aids in brain cell nutrition.
~Niacinamide - Another name for vitamin B3.
~Calcium Pantothenate - Another name for vitamin B5
~Pyridoxine HCL - Another name for vitamin B6
~Vitamin B12 - Vitamin necessary for normal metabolism of nerve tissues and is active in carbohydrate, fat, and protein metabolism.
~Artifical Flavors
~Colors
So, please, do tell me which of these ingredients are bad for you and/or will cause my eminent death...

I moved here recently from Orlando, FL, before that LA, before that was Orlando again, before that Queens, NY, Nashville, TN, Tallahassee, FL, Outer Banks, NC, Bend, OR, New Orleans.....wanna play some more? I grew up all over SoCal, but I wanted to buy something. We all know what prices are like over there, so I'm close, but I'm here. By the way, Red Bull tastes like solvent - Yuk!
