So today was the regional training session in DC for volunteers for Tap Project 2009, or in this case DC Tap. I volunteered on their website earlier this month and then was contacted by the City Coordinator for DC. He recruited me to be the Neighborhood Coordinator for Montgomery County. So I'll be the liason for all of the volunteers in the county as...

I love Palanuik, I just got done reading Snuff(his new one), but Invisible Monsters is my favorite. I was a little disappointed in Snuff, I wish I'd waited for it to come out in a soft cover and not spent like 25 bucks being let down. It's worth the read, though. As far as Hesse goes, Narcissus and Goldmund is so good. It's basically what all of his books are about; do I find god or do I have fun?

thank you!

Welcome to 2009!
I have every reason to believe it will be a great year for me, and I intend to work hard to make it so. I am not going to post about any cause, or spiritual enlightenment today, but instead to ask a question. I have no tattoos and I have always (well for the past 10 years or so) wanted one. I...

Happy New Year!!!
Are you making resolutions this year?

I am not making resolutions, but instead making plans -

My Plans Include:

-Volunteer for Tap Project by UNICEF (already have started that process)
-Raise money for a well/pump in Africa
-Continue to educate myself in terms of the best way to affect change in the parts of the world most devasted by Poverty including possibly...

So if you have read any of my other posts, you may have picked up on the fact that I recently developed a social conscience. I guess I should say redeveloped as I had one at one time, then seemed to grow out of it. I managed to somehow spend most of my adult life concerned with me, things which affected me, and those in...

Hey,
I just enrolled in this program that UNICEF has to provide clean drinking water to children in Africa. I am going to donate some time to help get local restaurants to participate. Watch this video

This will not take a huge amount of time, and the need is great. If you care, donate some time.
