The Wise Old Man on the Mountain
Some years ago, while hiking on a secluded mountain trail, I found a secret mountain. It wasn't on any map or trail guide, but there it was in front of me. I climbed to the top of this secret mountain, and there at the top sat a wise old man.
He told me that since I had found my way to him, he would share with me all of his knowledge and wisdom.
The first thing he told me was, A beautiful lake has no vanity, because it knows that it's beauty is merely a reflection of the world around it. Then he said, The strongest of winds has no ego, it knows it is only being what it is supposed to be. He added, The trees of the forest have no desire, for the world gives them all they need.
Then he told me to go live life and to remember his words.
