Holy hell, its February. I'm so afraid of waking up tomorrow and it being 2010 or some crap.
I'm in Hollywood all the time these days, but the issue is I don't have a place out there anymore. I'm taking care of my mum's condo out in Ventura County now (she has another home in Oregon where she stays 80% of the time; she's planning on selling the place I'm staying at come May) so making that drive nearly every other day is hell. I've been fortunate enough to be able to stay with friends, like sk8 and petsound a few nights. Last week, I crashed at sk8's place. When I woke up, he was on SG chat, which I didn't even know existed. Apparently he had the audio on and he goes "Hey, come say hi to everyone". I respond with "I do NOT understand this technology! Help!!" Needless to say, everyone in the chat, especially Kraven got a hoot outta that. I'm so awesomely not intelligent when it comes to computers, it amazes me. Then I proceeded to molest Tenaciouss via chat by demanding to see her boobs. So mature of me, I know.
By the way, if you are in Hollywood and willing to allow me to crash at your place every so often, please let me know. I'd forever be grateful and appreciative.
I'm heading to Sioux Falls, South Dakota March 19-25, I believe. The 23rd will mark one year since Tim's death and on that day, myself and my friends Brittany, Kelley, Brent and the rest of the surviving members of Avery are going down to Parkston, SD to be with Tim's family and visit Tim's graveside. I'm 50/50- should I fly into Omaha, then have friends meet me or should I drive myself from California to Sioux Falls? It's 300 cheaper to fly into Omaha than it is Sioux Falls and its just 3 hours away. I'm really into the whole road trip thing as I love seeing everything, however, that's another 25 hours in a car by myself. I also think it would be more expensive to drive, honestly. I made it to Portland in 16 hours alone, but we're talking another 9 hours here. Not too small a feat. What do you all think I outta do? Fly or drive?
Speaking of South Dakota, I have a pretty funny story that confirmed my thoughts of how small this world truly is. A few weeks ago, I was texting with Noah, the bassist for Avery. He and I hadn't chatted in a bit, so it was an all day catchup type thing. Randomly, he replies back to one of my texts with a "Whatever you say, Vianca " Obviously, Vianca is not my real name and none of the bands I work with know my SG alias so I was a bit taken back. I respond with "Oh my God, how did you find me?!?!" Apparently, a friend of his has an SG account and Noah went to visit him awhile back. Noah said when he got there, one of my sets was up on the friends computer. How random is that? I definitely laughed for a bit after hearing that.
