Just saw it tonight, and I completely agree with you. Forced. Would like to have seen more development with the characters, especially the Joker. I think it missed who the Joker is. Harley was excellent. And for it to make the assumption that an explosive device would conquer a being that is channeling ethereal forces? Ludicrous! But I digress. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't as good as it could have been.

Yes I realize I am late to the party on this blog post, but I still agree with this opinion of Suicide Squad. Also, one thing I didn’t like about the movie that was not brought up was the casting of Will Smith as Deadshot. I love Will Smith as the wise cracking hero type he usually portrays in movies (which is why he was so good in Ali) but Will Smith not as Deadshot. At least not this version of him. I just had a hard time believing him as Floyd Lawton, a character I’ve come to know quite well over the years since I am a Bat-freak (my own term for Batman fans).
