Last night I had to watch Godsend for a paper for a class... I'm pretty sure the teacher is in cahoots with with the film's distributor, 3 classes each with 20-30 people renting the film surely must have doubled or tripled the movies nationwide-rentals...
As long as I'm on the topic of school, I've been trying to get my paperwork done for a transfer out of mesa, which means finally seeing what my grades were from my two years at ucsb...it was as disturbing as I'd feared. There was a grand total of twenty-seven units worth of F's, which means I'm really counting on the school system to believe I've changed...or I need to hire professional thugs to destroy my records.
On a completely different track...what really upsets me about the people who feel the need to attack Christopher Reeve in his commemorative thread is that so far they are all in their early twenties and do not appear to be philanthropists themselves. His reasons for pursuing a cure for his diability were indeed selfish, but if you want to get down to it, everyone is ultimately selfish. Even people who are doing good simply because it feels good to them, or for peace of mind are getting something in return-I don't think that that devalues their contribution.

I agree with you.. there are so many people that have no qualms about running their mouths off and being dicks in the process... but at least it gives us all something to spout off about.
But yeah... it also bugs me when people do that same sort of thing with music. Like if you hear a band on the radio and like their song and someone else shoots back with a "Oh dude, I liked them WAY before they were POPULAR..." implying that the only reason why you like them is because they're in the mainstream, when actually you'd just never heard them before.
How's life in Coronado? Pretty quiet?
