Well I've been living in Manchester with The Man for just over a week now...strange times. Enjoyable, but strange. I'm fluctuating between being incredibly happy to be here, and wishing I was still at home. I am a total homebody and was anticpiating some pretty hardcore homesickness, I'm sure once I've been home and back a few times I'll feel better. It's our first anniversary tomorrow as well, nothing particularly big planned due to some less-than-well-stuffed bank accounts, but a takeaway, a rented DVD and some snuggles on the sofa will be more than sufficient to keep me smiling
My poor little Martha-mookle is poorly. She's done nothing but sleep for days, and she's been drinking MASSES of water. The vet said it could be anything from diabetes to a brain problem to a kidney infection. There's no glucose in her urine, which bodes well on the diabetes front, and she's on antibiotics and seems to have a little bit more energy than she did before...but still. For the last few weeks I've thought she was just depressed, but once the water bottle started emptying I realised something was up. I hope she gets better. My big girls are doing well, and the massive hole Millie had in her back (courtesy of Martha!) is healing well with no infection although she's going to have a big bald patch for the rest of her days!!
What else....oh yeah, my stupid helix piercing is all lumpy and it will NOT go away. Hypertrophic scarring on both sides of the hole, still soaking it as it's pretty seepy still and using tea tree but to no avail, don't know how long it's going to take to get rid of the lumps. They look fucking horrible, as long as it doesn't start keloiding or something though I'm sure I can do something about it.
I'm still buying shit on eBay. Bad Vermin. No biscuit. (but lots of tops).....
In other news - thanks to a MARVELLOUS suggestion from my manwife my Halloween costume will be....Amy Winehouse. Complete with giant hair, drawn-on tattoos and fake Monroe piercing. I've been Googling her (ooh I say) for ages finding good pics of her tats that I will be drawing on myself, at this rate I'll have to start getting ready at 9 in the morning before going out. Then it's just a case of practising the stagger for a couple of hours then I'm good to go
