I am so excited and thrilled! I am taking a rather spontaneous and long awaited trip to Maui in a couple weeks!
I have so many places I want to go and things to do, I can hardly stand it! I plan to do a little DWS climbing around the coast; visit places like the lavender farm, the bamboo forest, the sacred pond, snorkel at turtle town. Most of all I can't wait to sit on a sunny beach in a hammock drinking a coconut. :)
If any one has any tips or tricks to visiting the island, or just places that are a must, please feel free to interject!! I am going to need to rent a car/motorcycle(planning on using craigslist), a SUP for ocean yoga, and keeping my fingers crossed for easy vegetarian eats!
In other news, before I forget, Happy Ass.... ehem.. Ash Wednesday to you all.
.......and also with you
The weather has been insane lately! I know it sounds like an oxymoron, weather and Southern California, but there was a serious storm that passed through last week.
I took a trip to the beach to watch the waves, I was amazing how violent and turbulent the sea was. I could have sat and watched the wind pulling foam off of the tips of the crashing water for hours.
I also met this guy.
I've been getting back on my game on the mat. I think I finally found a studio I can open up to. It's been a hard transition this last year trying to find a new spot (and a new style of practice really). I gave this class a try, it's in a style called Beemashakti which was unfamiliar and quite different with its lack of asana based practice and odd breathing techniques, but the day after I had gone to my first class my body made it very apparent that there was something in that class/style that my body was in serious lack of! So I'm excited to further explore it and get stronger!
(post class treats; beet, carrot, apple, orange, kale, and ginger juice with some tasty macaroons..)
I very very happily received a 3 lb box of chocolates from a special some one after the store had run out of these seasonal lavender dark chocolate truffles!!
I've eaten myself sick for almost 5 days now, and have tried my best to hide the container far from my visual sight... >.<
When really, all I want to do is unwrap each of them and roll in them and rub them into my skin like so:
On the subject of exciting things I have received, this skull came in the mail from Savage Skulls!!
I love it and it's absolutely beautiful!!! He has so many kinds of skulls in his shop, and the inking he does on them is spectacular!!
I read such a sweet little post from an SG hopeful named @duo I thought I would share! I love sweet little stories like this and it made me smile!
Remember these faces?????
I got to see my dog children for the first time in quite a long while! I miss them and their smothery love dearly.
In the spirit of blog posting, here are a few random images:
