Happy 2013 Suicide Girls land!!
I hope every one keeps on living to the best of their abilities. : )
Any one do anything fun for to celebrate the calendars turning? Personally, today I rang in the new year with a day of live fire training hosted by Antigone and her wonderful man, Blackcentr.
The day was cold, and lovely. I learned a ton, and I really hope I manage to retain the majority of it!
That being said, I haven't updated in a little while, so here is my quick recap:
I've been playing with the most beautiful koi fish recently.
Trying to stay active!
Picked up a few awesome tees from BlackCraft
Not to mention, like for a lot of people out there, it was Christmas season! Let me tell you, I don't pass up a holiday that lets me give presents, string up little lights around the house, and keep a conifer in the house!
Thats about where I hit a speed bump..
I started having terrible stomach pain. My entire belly area was extremely upset, tying me to the couch and rendering myself practically immobile for two weeks while I tried to first treat myself for an ulcer, then what I assumed was terrible IBS or a food allergy. I couldn't sleep, I barely ate, and I was in almost constant pain with frequent waves of debilitating cramps. My days looked about like this: (for two weeks strait)
A week and a half in my gentleman convinced me to go see a "western" doctor. (I understand what a crazy hippy I sound like, however I try extremely hard to live a life practicing health from diet, nutrition, and natural healing. So, I suppose I am a hippy.) I agreed mainly because my belly started hurting more acutely, and I have always been terrified of the potential of appendicitis. The doctor pressed on my belly, said he thought it was gallstones, and sent me home with orders to go to a more equipped doctor if it persisted.
A few days later I developed very acute pains here:
followed by here:
Finally a few days more of extreme pain and no sleep I went to the E.R.
Apparently I had been trying to "deal" with a burst appendix for over a week according to the CT scan. The good new in that was (aside from the bad news of being stuck in the hospital for Christmas) I was going to get better! And fast! The moment they began the antibiotics to calm down the toxemia I felt almost completely normal.
(and then they gave me morphine 0_o )
Needless to say, the morphine made me feel........... "comfortable"
I tried to do a little yoga in my room
I was discharged the day after Christmas. Aside from some nasty antibiotics I'm still taking, I'm almost back to 100%! Minus the loss of muscle from three weeks of being bed ridden.. That's left me rather heartbroken.. Especially when I made it back to the rock climbing gym and I was barely able to climb anything at all! :'(
It will come back fast, I know, but it is disheartening all the same.
I still enjoyed Christmas! Even a day late.
In completely other news, I am being featured this month by Whistle Magzine!
Here is a litte glimpse of what is now in print and now available:
So hurry and order your copy/subscription of Whistle!
Did I mention that the wizard behind Whistle is none other than our own Miss Pilot? All the more reason to support this growing zine, by looking at boobs.
Last piece of new news, River Jack, shot by Alissa, is coming to MR in April. : )
That's all for now!
The end!
I hope every one keeps on living to the best of their abilities. : )
