So i am finally married. It was a perfect day and everything went off without a hitch, there was a few close ones but i say you never count the close ones. The day started out busy trying to get all of my last minute things done and organized so i wouldn't have to rush. we had arranged for my sister to come and pick up harley at 9.30 so we could do everything without interruption. we were meant to be there by 11.30. laura got to mums at 11.00!!! First hiccup. i was starting to stress, anyway harley decided she didn't want to go with laura. her boyfriend scares her and she threw a massive tantrum so we ended up taking her with us anyway. we got up there about 1.00. and the ceremony started at three.
I had to organize the reception, check the ceremony was set-up correctly, take the boys their flowers and the rings, dress my daughter, fix the music, go over everything with the mc, do my own hair and make-up, finish my dress (there were a few final touches that had to go on it) plus my photographer wanted photos of me getting ready so i had to do poses too. it was a very very stressful two hours. Then i all started coming together.
The people started milling around where the ceremony was to be held. i started to get a little nervous. I had my mum finishing the dress, my bridesmaid helping me with my Hollywood tape, my photographer was fixing my hair, my mc was getting me to write down the names of where everyone would be, harley harley was crying. i panicked. i told everyone to get the fuck out for 5 minutes or no one was going everywhere. i was sweaty, shaking, i felt sick, and i thought i was going to pass out, and i started to cry. luckily my dad came in and took my hand and told me that he felt the exact same way and what a good job i done on everything. he told me that Adam was standing down there with the same nervous look on his face with tears in his eyes waiting for me. so mum dad lead me downstairs holding my hand the whole way.
when i got to the red carpet i got this huge rush of adrenalin and saw Adam standing there about to cry. i walked down and the ceremony began. it was beautiful. everyone was crying, my bridesmaid was bawling and she didn't even cry at her own wedding the year before. i was pretty good until i read my vowels and then it was a huge struggle to keep the tears back. i have to stop a few times and take a deep breath, a little tear creeped out just before i finished. it was perfect. Adam was perfect, everyone was perfect.
then we had our photos taken and it was lots of fun. my friend who did the photos made us laugh so much. there are some beautiful one and some funny ones. when i get them back i will post some.
the reception was lovely. as soon as i walked in it took my breath away. all of my beautiful family was there and they were all so happy.
It was a day i will never forget. i would definitely say it was the best day of my life. equal to the birth of my daughter of course.
