Well, it's November 6. The Engine Proof for our game project is due Wednesday and we've got absolutely nothing. Well, actually...I suppose we do have a decent grasp of DirectX by now and we've got player and sprite classes created. So we've got a few things done, but we've got so much more to do. We'll probably end up hard coding some BS to make the milestone. But atleast Halo 2 shall arrive Tuesday. Though I probably won't get a chance to play it until Wednesday night. The LAN parties we've been having every friday have been exceptional. They've become such a routine that last week we were considering not having a LAN because one of my roommates had to work the next morning, but before we could decide, Lanners started showing up at our apartment, 14 of them. We had about 16 people yesterday and we went until about 5 am. We've been playing mostly UT2k4, Ravenshield and I got Desert Combat running on everybody's computers yesterday, so that'll undoubtedly be joining our rotation. That's the one thing I think I'll miss when I go back to Colorado. The area around Digipen is saturated with geeks and nerds like myself so it's ridiculously easy to get a LAN up and running. In Colorado, I know...maybe four people with LAN-capable boxes. Unfortunately, there remains complete absence of women at the LAN parties, which is not surprising. Those creature seem to be quite rare around here, even moreso in regards to those who would like to game with us geeks. I think I shall return to my graphics programming assignment.
and there was much defication.
