It's time to blow this popsicle stand.
Straight up, Owings Mills sucks, as I or even Er could tell you (but don't tell her i told you that!). My best friend, mentioned in my last entry, is moving to Florida soon. There will be pretty much nothing left for me here after that. I love my parents, and planned on living here a bit longer, but...it's come to my attention that we might all be happier if I got the hell out. I'm planning on moving soon. probably around the end of the summer, or at least i plan to know what i'm doing by then. Hopefully I'll move to Ann Arbor or Detroit, so I can be with my sweetie pie. Anyyway, more about that as it comes up.
I hate accidentally deleting journal comments.
Went to Pittsburgh over the weekend. Alicia's granny lived there, She died, and Alicia and her family went down to decided what stuff to keep, and what to give away. I decided to go visit while she was so close by. i was going to take my camera, but then though "I'm only gonna be there over night!" Over course, when i got there, there was tons of awesome graffiti, and other picturesque urban elements. They're going back this week, hopefully I can make it.
On the way, i stopped at the new Phantom Fireworks store in Breezewood, PA. It was the grand opening, and they had a huge 2-for-1 sale on everything. Theres a pic of my new artillery in my pics thingie.
I went to Borders the other day. Picked up The Zombie Survival Guide by Max Brooks, who is a great authority on the subject...and also happens to be Mel Brooks' youngest son. I figured, after this plague of locusts across the east coast, the zombies can't be too far behind. One has to be prepared.
I also got the new Chumbawamba album Un. It's a little more chill and acoustic than their older stuff, but not a comatose as their last album Readymades. I don't understand why these people aren't more popular in the states. How can you not like a band with happy harmonies and lyrics like "You think you're god's gift, you're a liar. I wouldn't piss on you if you were on fire."? Anyway...
I have no real interest in Christianity or Catholicism, other than as a social group/culture. Though, I happened upon an awesome show on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, called Life Is Worth Living. Apparently it was extremely popular back in the '60s, and even won a few Emmys. Its hosted by Bishop Fulton J. Sheen, and it's basically him talking for a half-hour. He's an amazing speaker/storyteller, and can actually pull off being on tv, decked out in full Bishop regalia, without having to refer to those pesky God and Jesus fellows every 5 minutes. In fact, he rarely refers to the Bible at all, aside from quotes and stories. So, anyone interested in watching a great man speak, and can stand that man being a bishop, check the TV Guide for Life Is Worth Living
