OK, its an hour or two before I have to leave for the dentist ( ). I swear, if I wanted to get yelled at, I'd live with my parents...oh, wait....anyway, i might as well update this thing.
I wanted to respond to all the comments from the last entry, but it's been so long ago, it seems silly now. Sorry about that, y'all. BTW, thanks shadowbunny, but now that i'm back home, i'm to me knees with 'em!
Speaking of, I'm back from Ann Arbor. i swear that town has so much over Owings Mills...not like its hard. She made me try some new foods...I've always been a fussy eater (fussy eater is a euphemism for big-pain-in-the-ass), so I havent had alot of foods normal people eat all the time..I'm working on it though. Gyros were good. Hopefully, I'l have a few decent pics up sometime.
OMG, there are NO 7-11s there. I hadn't realized it until a few hours ago, but damn it, there isn't one. So strange! i guess they decided all the coffee shops makes up for it...it really doesn't though.
We were walking though Meijers (kinda like Wal-Mart), and I thought of the most awesome question I've come up with in a long time...one which I'll pose to you all in a bit.
Friday was possibly one of the greatest days in my life. I spend most of the early morning hours tied to a bed. Then we got milkshakes, and slept in said bed (Right Said Fred's bread for Ned ). We woke up, and went to Bronners. Bronners is the biggest year-round x-mas store in the world. I was in heaven. I'm an x-mas/winter junkie. It was like my pilgrimage to mecca.
I've given in and bought a Tivo. I've grown addicted to the one at Alicia's house. Mr. UPS says it's coming tomorrow. I cant wait. Maybe now I won't miss Family Guy, and my friggin Brit coms.
In other news, I've decided to replace half of the Talking Heads songs on my iRiver player for some good swing music, and I've also decided to keep my Killer Klowns icon around a while.
I mean, look at it! It's got tons going for it, aside from being from such a awesome movie. I'ts colorful and eye-catching. And the pose they're in...you can practically hear "Damn It Feels Good To
Be A Gangsta" playing over it. Yeah...it's staying for a while.
I've started making a new mix CD, and I need some help from the SGers out there. It's mostly a mix for driving at night in the rain. It gonna be made mostly of apocalyptic rock, dark/slow rock, and other atmospheric stuff like that. Unfortunately I don't know enough about this kind of thing to really put together a good one. So I need some suggestions. All i have so far is a bunch of stuff off soundtracks, like 28 Days Later, and Lost In Translaton, and other things I've picked up through time. This is what i have so far:
1. John Murphy - The Beginning
2. William Orbit - In A Landscape
3. Death In Vegas - Girls
4. Henry Francis Lyte & Will Henry Monk - Jim's Parents (Abide with Me)
5. Vangelis - Memories of Green
6. Slowdive - Cello
7. Carter Burwell - Velvet Spacetime
8. My Bloody Valentine - Sometimes
9. Charles Gounod and J.S. Bach - Taxi (Ave Maria)
10. Jack Wall - Theme From Edanna
11. Diana Obscura - Faencia
12. Blue Man Group - Utne Wire Man
13. Jesus and Mary Chain - Just Like Honey
14. Slowdive - Miranda
15. Grandaddy - AM180
16. The Polyphonic Spree - Middle of The Day
17. Explosions In The Sky - Six Days at The Bottom of The Ocean
18. John Murphy - Rage
19. Vangelis - Tears In Rain
So, there's about 15 minutes of space left, and plenty of room for replacements in the name of variety. BTW, the only reason for the lack of Godspeed! is that I haven't found a short enough song yet.
So...tell me...are you a deep fryer, or a slow cooker?

p.s. Somehow the line "VELVETONE_FUSION slouching towards Mecca" popped into my head. And that's like 4 mixed metaphors.
