Hey Everyone. I hope you all had a good Christmas ! Avoided the bollocks and just had a good time. **HUGS TO ALL**
Mine was pretty mello..... I cycled 18km, (for the calorie deficit !!!), then hung with the oldies and their neighbour, who may as well be family too. We ate sea food and drank beer, talked about travel, animals and then watched a couple of animal doccos on foxtel..... Avoided extended family stuff as they usually = drama. CBF with drama.
While waiting on the train platform to go home from Xmas feast, a young man with a hug chip on his shoulder intentionally tried to trip me up as I was walking along the platform holding my bike. I swore at him in a foreign language..... He then decided to walk toward me, (I didn't move, people like that do not scare me), and he was asking what it meant and not to speak to him in gibberish, we are in Asutralia. Basically some racist, asshole bogan diatribe. This all happened in the 30 seconds that the train arrived and we entered the same carriage, (note, our trains generally only have 2 carriages). As we entered, the people on board could see what he was playing at, so, in my finest Australian twang, IN FRONT of the passengers who represented many aspects of our multicultural society, I said, - "It means cunt, you fucking racist asshole".
He sat down and did not look at me for the entire journey, not even whe he exited the door immediately next to me. The entire time he was on the phone carrying on like a pork chop because he clearly couldn't score his gear on Xmas day. Methinks mummy didn't cuddle him enough !
Ironically earlier this week I blocked an old old friend of mine on my mobile phone for his carry on, (martyr complex and racist shit). Ongoing and excessive. He gloats that he intentionally stirs up groups of people who are culturally different to himself. I said, "if they beat the shit out of you do NOT come crying to me". **BLOCKED**
It felt good standing up to morally fucked up shit, even if in such a minor way.
I am enjoying the break from work, even if it a short and sporadic break. I am noodling on the guitar again. My good friend let me borrow his Steve Vai signature series Ibanez. It is rather sexy, and too sexy for someone like me whose guitar skills are rather average LOL ! Either way it is fun and he gets to buy more shit as he now has more room. When he collects his drum kit from another location, I get to foster that too ! YYYEEEHHHHHH MAAAANNNNNNNN :)
I am also reading like a demon. I need more bookshelves as I am fast running out of space.
This morning I woke to a racket which seemed to be coming from inside the house. I thought it was my dog struggling on the stairs, (she has started the fast aging process the last few months. Hearing deterioration and joint stiffness increasing - she is on treatment). I go to investigate this noise. She is sounds asleep, no drama there. I then realise it is the mob of young ravens that have moved in bashing the shit out of my chimney ! They were having a party on my roof ! Tin roof + copper/tin chimney, lovely trees= RAVEN FUN ! Naughty young birdies !!!!
