Things I don't like about Copenhagen:
$10 coffees, $3-$6 cans of Coke. You don't even want to know how much food actually costs.
A few of the things I like:
1) That almost everyone gets around by bike or on foot. They're all in shape. A few days in and every muscle aches from the day to day routine of living.
2) A very active street life....at least while it is warm.
3) Ladies dont get all made up, in fact most dont wear a stitch of make up. It's more of that natural glow of fitness and fresh scrubbed faces, which is cool because I like to skip the war paint a lot of the time and so have fallen in line with this. Don't laugh but I've sort of been sporting this look since arriving here:
Little Scandinavian braided updos. It's just fits for this place and is a rather fetching look I think. Also extremely practical for riding around and dealing with unairconditioned summer conditions. I'd show y'all my milk maid look but have cut cameras out of my life for a bit.
3) These odd hotdogs sold at popular street stands. Odd because the buns are way smaller than the wiener of choice so stuff falls everywhere if you're not careful. A typical dog with everything on it would include mustard, catsup, pickle, chopped fresh onion, and crispy fried onion bits. Sounds strange but tastes good, although you'll need a mint and a good brush afterward to deal with onion breath.
Here on project for a little while longer. Just thought I'd say hello. Also, happy birthday to our dear friend sweetloretta.
A little mood music dedicated to lost friends and gray Copenhagen days

I think the same was true for my wife. I'm so glad she got to rediscover it in a positive way.
