Hey everyone!! Vell here. I'm workin my ass off this week anticipating my vacation to New Orleans, Louisiana. It will be my first time going and it's definitely somewhere that's always been on my top choices for destinations! I have always had a fascination with voodoo culture, as well as anything haunted and from what I understand, Nawlins is chock full of that kind of stuff. I will be staying in the home of a traveling artist and taking TONS of pictures.
This is an adventure that I'm just vibrating with excitement for. I can't wait to share my experience with all you guys.
For anyone who lives or has been to NOLA, is there any places you particularly recommend that I check out?

st. augustine catholic church in treme. historic, soulful, inspiring, rebellious church. iron rail, the anarchist bookstore. and take the ferry across to algiers point and back. it's a free ride on the mississippi. and if you want local contacts to meet up with, let me know and could probably help you out
