Hello @rambo @lyxzen and @missy , i'm gonna tell you all about the last movie i watched, because it's also my favorite ! @bloghomework
Mr. Nobody is a movie directed by Jaco Van Dormael, the soundtracks by Pierre Van Dormael. It's a philosophic movie about the butterfly effect, the chaos theory, time and space, and love. It's a movie about making choices, but also about our lack of control on life.
We witness all the different lives of the young Nemo Nobody, as he chooses to stay with his mother or his father when they divorce, and as he chooses to marry each girl he likes. We also witness his death in each life.
It's a wonderful movie, very photographic and contemplative, each scene and shot is magnificient, not to mention the music.
It's one of these movies that change your life.
There are several versions of this movie. In one of them, the movie is just the kid's imagination. In another, the kid has the power to predict the future and see all his lives, then decides none of them looks right to him.
In one way, he ends up rich and successful, but deeply unhappy and depressed. In another, he marries the woman he loves, but she doesn't love him back. In another, the woman of his life loves him back, but they never get to see each other again. If he stays with his mother, they hate each other, and if he stays with his father, he ends up paralyzed and doesn't recognize his son.
"Everything could have been anything else and it would have had just as much meaning."
There are no bad choices, your life will remain your life, unique.
It was one of the movies that marked my heart, among Donnie Darko, The broken circle breakdown, Cloud Atlas, Wild, Eternal sunshine of the spotless mind, and many other heart-breaking movies, but luckily i like many other genres !
Thank you for reading, and don't hesitate to share your stories with me !
