I've been avoiding making posts about my life because...well, I feel like it's as dull as dirt. So I usually type in random bits of story in here, mostly for fun.
But on Monday I'm taking off for Japan. And I gotta say...I'm pretty nervous. I hate saying goodbye to people, and I hate the thought of missing out on things. But as my friend says, you can't be around for everything. Pick n' choose your battles, I guess.
I'll be gone for five weeks. The longest stretch of time that I've ever really been anywhere, except for a family vacation that seemed to go on for a bit too long. Anyways, 3 weeks in Japan, home of panty-sniffers, technophiles and maid cafes, and another 2 weeks in Korea; home of the boozer, the english teacher, and the boozing english teacher. Then 3 days in Vancouver, which will probably just be me snoozing and readjusting to Canada time again.
It's going to be a hell of a trip; there's no doubt in my mind about that. The stories that I hear from all over...at least now I can see if they're even remotely true. Who knows? Maybe it really will be this brain-annihilating trip with Godzilla n' such. Maybe I'll just be sitting around on tatami mats getting drunk. In any case, it's something well-deserved, and also long overdue.
I think I'll be away from my computer for a while, even though I'm going to two countries immersed in tech-culture. So if I don't write back anytime soon, well...I'm out in the booniest of boonies! Cheers, all!
