Although this is tremendously nerdy (yet appropriate, since SDCC just wrapped up), this is really how I've been feeling lately:

I'll give you the gist of the story, too!
Mary Jane Watson (not married yet!) is pacing around Peter's apartment wondering where he is. She hears a knock on the door, and lo and behold, is Peter Parker! Yet he's disheveled, worn out, exhausted...and a trenchcoat! And under that, not much more than a pair of Spidey-tights that barely cover his unmentionables.
Peter walks in, fwumps down onto the couch, and begins retelling his story of woe...of how the last bad guy he fought wore him out intensely, how he ended up in some weird town in upstate NY and then thrown into the klink for swiping a blueberry pie off the sill, and how he ended up defeating a crazed millionaire that had a penchant for hunting down criminals thrown into the klink (man is the most dangerous game, y'know).
Anyways, Peter comes back, MJ gives him some space because he zonks out on the couch, and all is well...and we're left with a cliffhanger ending for the next book.
Pretty much just MIA. Been workin' hard, I guess...life's just hectic. Too many projects, too much work...suddenly in demand, and I gotta wonder...will the bottom fall out? Damn me for reading Kavalier & Clay!
(And if you haven't read it, well...why haven't you?!)
Anyways, been feelin' like that...kinda sad, little lonesome...intense, and yet...mellow. Who knows?
i feel so much better, for the longest time whenever i mentioned
to people the fact that Peter Parker had another great love in his life
they would look at me like i was crazy..
damn young kids today!
don't know peters history at all...
i even remember that secretary Betty had a crush on him also
or at least a mild flirtation thing going on..
And I'm STILL pissed that the symbiote costume in Spider-Man 3 isn't the same.
Say whatever you want, but I'm just a purist when it comes to the black Spidey.
