No food, no water, no drink, nothing. I feel as though my body's been washed ashore and like my cheeks are scraping the sand. The water laps at my legs, soaking my ripped jeans...
How long was I adrift? How long?
Looking up, I realize that it's midday. The sun is high overhead, beating down on me...my head hurts. Something must have happened.
Upon closer inspection I realize that it's just the aches and pains of yesterday's fight that got me into this mess...somehow thrown overboard, then came to be washed up on this deserted island.
Maybe that's for the best. There's no sound out here...just gulls screeching at each other.
It's quiet. It's nice. For the first time in a long time, life feels tranquil. A little bleak perhaps, but that's a thought for later.
