It's official: Christmas is really really here. Just got my frist invite to a Christmas part today, so I guess it's about that time of year again...time to make Christmas cards, figure out how to email them to everyone (or if emailing is lame), who's been naughty and who's been nice, who deserves a sweater and who deserves to sweat...oy.
Christmas. What a hassle soemtimes. A good hassle, but still.
On another unrelated note, my sleeping habits have gotten FUBARed. Like, major bad. Now I'm a morning person.
Ordinarily, this would be great news. Like, if I had a day job. However, seeing as how it doesn't really matter when I'm really up, I'm thrown off. I've been living in the night for most of the past year, that I actually have no clear idea of what the hell to do with myself during the day. Like, it's so disorienting trying to actually get work done when the sun is shining, that I have no clear idea of how much work I'm getting done...whereas if the clock read "4 am", I knew I had 5 hours left until my deadline. Now I have to factor in the whole 'sleeping' thing. What a hassle.
Who knows, though? Maybe it'll be good for me. I can't imagine that I have too many friends out there that wake up at, like, 6 am with the cows and chickens, but who knows.
In any case, I'm starting to think that 6 am isn't a bad time to wake up. At the very least, it'll allow me to head to the gym before the real muscleheads get up, then work out for a bit...and then fuck right off and head back to work at home before I get uber-uncomfortable around their jockular presence.
Ugh. I never really noticed how antisocial I truly was until I started waking up in the day. I think large bodies of strangers freak me out, and that's gonna take some getting used to. Same with phrases like, "Good morning!" or "Lovely weather today, don't you think?"
*** Brief Update ***
Not to sound a little flirty, but I'm actually really glad to have so many pretty ladies making comments in my journal. When y'all aren't looking, I blush furiously
But a real update! It looks like I'll be making weekly strips in a newspaper! Brand New Planet, a kid's paper written by kids/for kids will be running a weekly strip that I'll be making. What a thrill! Anyways, it looks like I'll be joining the webcomickers out there and making a strip...granted, it's aimed at kids 9-14, but who knows? It's kinda interesting!
