Every so often while working on a drawing or painting, I will get frustrated enough to where I purposely ruin my project. I will usually scribble/scrape smear what I have down or paint/draw random (sometimes funny) things over top of my project, ruining any progress it had. Needless to say, I did this today lol. But, after ruining a painting that was giving me hell, I sat down for the next 2 hours and did a self portrait. I haven't done one in a few years, and even though this portrait is very fast and not very focused on technicality or accuracy.... I have a very strong fondness for it. I'm feeling .... very good, let me just say.

Maybe it's because I just moved to TX and I don't really know anyone out here so I make up for it by spending time on here. But what's the point? How am I going to get out and discover new fascinations when I am glued to something I am familiar with already? I guess I just get bored quickly and I'm beginning to lose interest.
