Hello everyone.
Well, in about 26 days or so, my membership here at SG finishes (5th July) and it will not be renewed.
Whatever it was that I found so important and attractive here, is not here anymore. Or possibly the site hasn't changed but I have.
I have completed my exams and await the results. I am only really worried about one of the 7 exams I took.
I am currently entertaining an old friend from Seattle here in London. He's having a great time and so am I.
Partly why I am so terrible at keeping in touch is because my house is currently between ISPs. I dislike using my friends computers for this site, and I don't think the IT Services department at my University would be so open to the content of this website.
Tis a shame. I hope the ISP switch occurs in time for me to download and archive my favorite pics.
I think what I will do is I will contact all of you personally with my eMail and an option to keep in touch. Starisea has been wonderful and has already proactively gotten in touch with me and for that I am warm and fuzzy inside.
I'll do that at least a week before my time here is up. It is still up in the air, whether I get my website ready or not.
Meanwhile, I am still writing music reviews for www.foxydigitalis.com and continuing my radio show on University radio until term ends for Summer, 5th July. That's VastaPhonic with Munir Remahl (my real name), every Saturday, 2-3pm GMT at www.1287am.com.
I've also started up an account with a free community website for Goths, Synths, Dark Wave Freaks and related denizens of the dark cheesiness in Scandinavia (Sweden, Norway and Denmark). It's at www.helgon.net. If you can make your way through the Swedish language sign up process, maybe you can get to know some Swedish Goths - some of whom are very delicious indeed.
Brief movie thoughts:
-> I saw Van Helsing and I think it's a good time waster. Cheesy script with godawful ending and way too many rip-offs from Vampire Hunter D but good action. Watched it mainly because of Kate Beckinsale. She looks fantastic and curvy in a corset, tights and boots. Len Wiseman is a lucky, lucky man. Go and see Underworld for more amazing Beckinsale pleather wonder.
-> I saw Swordfish for the first time, and have never seen a more bullshit "hacker" in my life. Obviously Hugh Jackman has never been near a computer in his life and the bit where he is "constructing the worm" and doing a little jig in front of the most ergonomically inept flat-screen setup I have ever seen is laughable to the point of regurgitation.
-> I saw my first Woody Allen movie ever: All You Ever Wanted To Know About Sex* *but were afraid to ask. The last skit is the funniest, with the brain control room and sperm paratroopers. Best line in it - and apologies for not getting the quote accurate:
Girl: "I'm really into the feminist and blah blah political blah blah of modern art blah blah intellectual schmep...."
Leader of Brain: "We're never gonna get this girl to bed."
Girl: "I study at New York University."
Leader of Brain: "We're gonna get laid!"
-> I saw Halle Berry in both Swordfish and Die Another Day. Halle Berry should keep her clothes on - her tits are not pretty - and she's a shit actress. I just wanted to hit her for being so annoying. Oh and the bad guys in Die Another Day are way cooler than Bond.
Finally, just want to add, biggest goal of SUmmer 2004, is save up money from summer work to visit my best friend in Tulsa, OK in September. I am planning a side trip to Chicago or Minneapolis as well. I want to see someone special.
ps - I want to apologise for being so terrible at keeping in touch. I should be more reciprocative with those who take the time to visit me only to find I never update and I haven't been replying. My apologies and my appreciation for still visiting me for so little reward.
