Someone whose opinion I highly respect actually had a very balanced opinion of "The Passion of Mel". Though she confirms what other critics have said about the movie not identifying anyone and so many characters won't mean anything except to someone who knows the details of the events and it's people quite intimately from the Bible, it did have an effect on her. It could have done with a lot less blood and barbarism, but the movie itself wasn't a bad movie.
I'll probably go see it. And I'll see it with my friend Sarah who has studied Theology. Then she can pick out the random people for me.
I'm feeling better. My nose is stuffed up, but that's fine.

Also created more distractions for myself. I set up a PlayStation emulator successfully on my PC, and now I can blow dust off my old copies of Tekken 3, Jade Cocoon, Front Mission, Valkyrie Profile and Final Fantasy Tactics. Yikes! Seeing them on my PC really shows how ugly the graphics were. I used to think Tekken 3 was beautiful.

I got approved for eye surgery as some of you know. Will have it done last week of March hopefully. Then when I recover, I want to go to Stockholm and see my friends there again.

March 8th, 1620: I've just completed a witness statement with the Thames Valley Police. I interrupted some Pakistani kid trying to break into my house through the back door. Gave him a good scare walking in on him. I distinctly heard him saying "Oh Shit!" while leaping into the neighbour's garden. Probably won't be coming round here again.

I sincerely hope that you are feeling ever so much better. Being ill in such a drain on body, spirit and brain. *sending uplift thoughts across the hemispheres~dootdootdootdoooootdoot*
Junkers Juno! Teehee! It makes me think of something out of Cowboy Bebop. A space ship repo firm or parts yard. I may have to save that name for my own scifi story.
You have called my bluff. I am more gregarious in the company of friends and beloved, but it takes awhile before those comfort levels are established. (I have a wickedly sarcastic sense of odd-ballish humor.
My family is all "born again" fundamentalists, so my dad has been asking when I'm off to see The Passion. Hmmmmm . . . I think I will wait for the video. Maybe. It's not like I haven't read the book.
Congratulations on the eye surgery. I would love to be able to see without little bits of plastic in my eyes. Blessings and safety to you on the day and a speedy recovery afterwards.
*hugs, well wishes and big stari squishes*
Edited because I can't spell fundamentalists.
