Good News. I received my acknowledgement card from UCAS yesterday. Which means my applications to the 6 British universities have gotten where they were supposed to go. Another week or so and I get my applicant number which I'll need for when I send additional information on myself to the 6 universities.
Tomorrow, I'm getting up extra early to make rice rolls for my restaurant, then I have to hurry to meet my aunt. We'll drive for 2.5 hours south to a place called Granne. Granneskolan is a private school for the kids of swedish parents who are international in their employment. This is for those kids to keep some connection to their Swedish language and culture. My cousin is graduating tomorrow. I got her a present and a card.
In the works:
- A creative writing piece based on the picnic I had with Linda. For everyone who enjoyed my piece on the witch party.
- Planning Linda's 23rd birthday. For being such an amazingly wonderful person, I'm shocked that NO ONE has ever planned her a birthday. So I will be the first to do so. Apparently a number of firsts are credited to me already in just the 2 months I've gotten to know her. I'm trying to decide on who should get involved, what sort of cake I should make, how to make it as special as possible.
- Researching getting a flat BEFORE I move to England. (Or Scotland if I get accepted and decide on Edinburgh).
- Sending out feelers for a short-term, good-paying job just for 40 to 50 days starting from 1st July. I plan to move mid-August. That's really soon.
