Without thinking too much about it, just tell me your three favourite animals in order of preference. You are allowed mythical creatures too since this is an exercise on totems and archetypes.
Mine are:
1) Coyote
2) Snake
3) Owl
Meaning:
1) What you want to be
2) What you are
3) What you want as a partner
Reasons (optional if you want to elaborate on your own choices):
1) I admire the Old Man Coyote variation of the Trickster archetype. It's the most loving of humans. Loki is downright nasty. I could do with learning how not to take myself or the world so seriously and learning to laugh at my own tail burning. I'm pretty heavily influenced by the Tribe book on the Nuwisha by White Wolf games.
2) I am born in the Chinese Year of the Snake. Read about them...I like them. They combine light and darkness. They are associated with transformation, enlightenment, the kundalini, the devil....so many cool light and dark things. And I am a good mixture of both.
3) Owls kick ass. According to one source they are Wisdom at the price of Darkness. Or Knowledge with a Price. Also it is on of Artemis'/Athena's animals (Goddess of Wisdom and Warfare). I'd like a girl who is intelligent and dangerous.

2.) A white Tiger cause they are beautiful yet so dangerous.
3.)A scorpion cause they are freaky and deadly.
As for Occham's razor...I fail to see how your view of things is the simplest explanation. Your presumptions about his motivations are far more complicated (and downright creative) than any of the current stereotypes, good or bad.
Why is it so hard for everyone to accept the REAL simplest explanation for our involvement in Iraq, which was, "The last time we let insane foreigners with power go unchecked, they ran planes into our buildings?" What were we supposed to do, wait until we were attacked again?
(Not that I am NOT attempting to say that Hussein was linked to Al Quaida.)
I am NOT the president of the George W. Bush fan club. However, this portrayal of him as this evil finnagler who's only out for his own gain is trivial and lacks perspective.
