Has anyone noticed how phlegm that comes down the back of your throat during any sort of sickness has this peculiar 'medicine/hospital hallway' taste?
How particular sleeping positions will excacerbate or reduce the severity of a blocked nose?
Has anyone's eMail productivity severely dropped off after joining SG?

in the midst of a Dilemma.
University of Reading has the course I like best in Artificial Intelligence...because it is combined with Cybernetics. BUT....a good friend of mine from Wales tells me it is a shithole and that just because it's an hour from London, London ain't so hot shit either. He says if I want ANY sort of rewarding social life, I should pick my second choice, University of Edinburgh, without even pausing to breathe. But I picked Artificial Intelligence with Philosophy there and Philosophy is...well...it ain't first choice...it's really interesting but...you hear about so many students taking Philosophy degrees but it don't DO shit! It's like having an English or a Psychology degree.
(bearing in mind, I haven't been accepted by either yet.)
ARRRGH!!! Career or Life, Career or Life? What should I choose?
If anyone is the least bit psychic, please enlighten me on what your intuition tells you. If you know anything about the UK, enlighten me with your personal knowledge. If you can tell me how Philosphy might ACTUALLY contribute to a good career, enlighten me with yur creatve pragmatism.

I saw footage on CNN and FOX News of both the musical shenangans and the women attending schools. Of course, to hear some tell it, it must all be a phoney, set-up hoax with hired actors or something. It's interesting to see how our government's actions are being portrayed in other countries...
Which reminds me...have you seen any of the footage of the Iraqi people rejoicing and throwing their shoes at Saddam's likenesses after Baghdad was liberated? Or is it just the ingrates that get all the press?
