Bigots rule in Florida
I posted this in response to this article about a proposed amendment to the Florida State Constitution banning gay marriage. Not only is this totally bigoted, it is totally unnecessary due to existing regulations. Following the link will also show you that although same sex marriage is a big no-no in the Sunshine State, marriage between cousins is completely OK.

The worst type of bigot is on that thinks they aren't. I'm a married heterosexual male with children and I can't fathom for the life of me why so many people have so much hatred for gays. What did they do to you, redecorate your house? Make fun of your fashion sense (or lack there of)? They aren't trying to "ruin families" or anything else you bigots accuse them of. What ever happened to "live and let live"? Does that only apply to people that live exactly as you live? For those of you that think being gay is a "choice", let me pose this question, why would someone choose to to lead a lifestyle that would expose them to ridicule, scorn and discrimination? The answer is , they don't, they are born that way. I knew a kid growing up who was very effeminate from the time I knew him (age 5). He is now a gay adult. We all knew he would be at 5 years old. How can a 5 year old, who knows nothing about sexuality or gender rolls "coose" to be gay? Answer: he didn't, any more than he choose to be right or left handed, blond or brunette, blue eyed or brown eyed. The only answer is that it is your cherry-picking of bible verses that leads to your bigotry. Did you know that the very next verse in the bible that supposedly decries homosexuality states that if a man has long hair he should be executed? Why don't you start a law endorsing that view. The bible also states that it is acceptable to own slaves and beat your wife and children. I went to catholic schools for my entire grade school and high school education, with 4 years perfect attendance in high school, so before you ask, yes I have read the bible, A Lot. Maybe you should try reading it too, not just the parts they preach at you over and over again at church. Do you think Jesus would espouse the hatred you do against homosexuals? If you do, then you either need to really learn what he said, or realize that your are a complete hypocrite. By the way, you know a homosexual. They bag your groceries, fix your car and even wear police badges. They are people, just like you and me. Well, maybe not like you, they can tolerate your "lifestyle".

If you are one of these bigots, please go fuck yourself. Then slowly chop off small parts of your fingers,and dip then ends in acid. Climb over a Maximum Security Prison fence, and call every inmate you see "A bunch of fags" (you're a bigot, I know you know how to use the word "fag" right)? Follow this up by pouring small amounts of napalm on yourself, starting with, let's say, an eye, and slowly immolate yourself into dust, so you may fertilize the soil, and finally, be of some use and worth to the universe. I will then gleefully urinate on whatever minuscule atomic remnants of your worthless husk remain.

Hey man, I'm sorry that thread (you know the one) went so bad so fast. I don't agree with you, but I think you were shabbily treated. It'll blow over, though. It's just a hot button issue for a lot of people.
