Wow,what a day.
After some useless sitting around in university, I decided it would be a good idea to take my dog Zeppo for a walk in the English Garden, a park close to where I study.
Unfortunately, about 15 minutes after we started running around, he threw up, all slimy and bloody... cautious as I was, I called my vet, asking what this means... she told me to keep him inside, no running, no food...
afer 2 hours he started trembling... so I took him to the only vet that was open for business that day...
and here is where the rip-off starts...
I told them I could come in about 2:30, so they scheduled me for that time....what they did not tell me was that, from 1 to 3 its only for emergencies, if I had waited another 30 minutes, I wouldnt have had to pay..hold on, Im getting ahead of myself. Well, I went to the vet hospital, where a vet whose eau-de-cologne seemed to be "Bavarian Beer" checked him for about 5 minutes, took 2 x-ray images of him and gave him 3 shots of medicine...so after 15 minutes we were all set and the diagnosis was: nothing swallowed, "maybe" he just has a slight stomache ache or something..(awesome for a professional diagnosis, I know!)... So I went out to the counter to pay...expecting around, say 50 euro for what was done.... I guessed wrong! They charged me an amazing 155, 71 Euro for 15 frickin minutes of work!!! and of course, me arriving at 2:30 instead of 3 oclock cost me another 40 bucks! so i cancelled my other appointement for check up the next morning...instead Ill go see my regular vet...
Makes me think maybe I got the wrong job!
As for Zeppo....he tried to throw up a while after seeing the vet, but then pretty much fell asleep....hes in pain, but I hope this gets better over night...lets hope for the best!
