Couple of weeks ago, Charlie, after a two year hiatus (two years!) decided to re-enter the market, so to speak. He had the perfect plan - random pick-ups in dodgy bars and no hint of a relationship.
Charlie is a physicist, so I can't show you his face, and hence also a total geek, so the plan was logical, based on empirical evidence and doomed to failue.
I didn't believe him fo an instant. Thing is, it's hard to stay removed - hard to meet someone you really like and not want to spend every moment possible with them. The need to find someone is strong, primal. It's what drives us, what keeps us hoping ,,, no matter how hard you try it's a hard to resist.
Point of the story - I think Charlie *really* likes the girl he 'met' on Friday night.
Update: I lied. I am an optmistically romantic idiot.
