Return of Saturn
I have a savings account now. Ive had checking accounts before (though I havent had one in about 6 years), but Ive never had a savings account. Now Im kicking myself for not having one until now. I learned with my piggy bank that I can save money if I have a special place to put it aside that I can psyche myself into considering off-limits.
Maybe its just that Im getting old, but Ive been trying to think ahead more. Im thinking about things like wills and life insurance and what Ill be able to leave behind for my mates and descendants when I kick off this mortal coil. Im trying to get my shit together and rebuild my credit so hopefully within the next five years Ill be able to buy a house. Stability is starting to become very important to me. Ive just gone through my Return of Saturn and Im ready to move on to the next phase of my personal evolution.
The Tribe Arcane mailing list hit the five year old mark a couple of weeks ago. I didnt get to do anything to celebrate it but its still a pretty special occasion to me. It may be far flung community with members spread across a dozen states, most of whom have never met each other in the real world, but its still a community and theres not a whole lot of mailing lists that are nearly as thriving after five years.
