Time Keeps On Ticking
The minutes are ticking down to when I can finally begin my NaNoWriMo novel. I've been dying for it to be officially November 1st so I can hit the ground running. Especially after having so much fun at the NaNoWriMo kick-off meet-up at Java Monkey last night. I almost didn't go because I was in a funk over an arguement with Brenda but Kendra dragged me out and we hung out for four solid hours. Juliana and Static Eddie were there, which was nice as being in such a large crowd of strangers would have freaked me out if there hadn't been some familiar faces. Damned social anxiety. Fortunately I did meet a lot of new people and had some of the most enjoyable conversation I've had in a long while. Hopefully I'll see some of the folk I met again.
Saturday night had been the SGATLiens Halloween Scavenger Hunt. That was great fun too. I wish I hadn't had to work Sunday morning as I would have really liked to have spent more time hanging out at the Vortex after the hunt. Unfortunately I hadn't been able to catch a nap because I was talking to Brenda from the time I got home from work to when I had to leave for the hunt. So my batteries were definitely running low.
This coming Friday night is when I leave for Tampa. Four more nights. I'll be getting to Tampa Saturday morning. The waiting is killing me.
Kendra has moved in. Her brother is staying too until Wednesday. So things are really crowded here. It's going to be rough for a while.
There's been a ton of stuff I want to talk about in my journal, but I haven't been able to squeeze it in with the pace of life lately. I would now, but it's almost midnight and I want to get a head start on lubricating my creative process with alcohol.
