So after staying up all night the night before, Jena and I were off to Thailand.

Incredible. Best vacation ever. We took about 4,000 photos, so we have a lot of editing to do over the next two weeks. We're also shooting two weddings these next two weeks, so we'll be pretty busy. I'll try to post some of our best when I get a...

Dude, I'm going there soon! Please post some pics and thoughts on cool things to see and do there. We have a lot planned, but I'm always looking for tips from people who've visited.

Hells yeah - 700.

I'm applying to:

UC Berkeley (Haas)
Cornell (Johnson)
Harvard
Northwestern (Kellogg)
NYU
Stanford
UW-Madison

Some of those are a stretch, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. Now to gather 17 letters of recommendation and write 30 essays.

Not much photography being done lately, but we'll be going on a "business trip" to Thailand for a month right after Christmas. That should...

Sorry for the lack of updates - I'm in GMAT-studyland. Pussyfoot gave me permission to post her set - I'll get on that when I have a chance.

If X is not equal to zero, is 1/X>1?

1) Y/X>Y
2) X^3>X^2

A) Statement 1 is sufficient, but statement 2 is not.
B) Statement 2 is sufficient, but statement 1 is not.
C) Statement 1 and...

Gar!

Another set rejected. We did what we thought was a great shoot with Pussyfoot at her favorite club. We struggled a bit with lighting, but I was still proud of the shots we got.

Strings of blue lights wrapped around nekkid bodies = good
Mannequins = good
Pussyfoot = very good

I'm not sure what didn't add up, but if we try again we...

Keep it up. You'll hone your skills and learn more of what the site is looking for. I had considered trying to shoot a couple of "hopeful" sets myself until I saw the caliber of the sets being rejected and realized I should leave it to you pros.

Did you see the Nikon D200 announcement? wink

Let me know if you're ever in the Milwaukee area and ever need a studio/location to shoot in. I don't know if you do models/subjects often, but I know that I often meet people online from Madison or Chicago, but am reluctant to set up shoots in their town for lack of a studio or location knowledge. Enough said.

Have a good one! ooo aaa

I saw that set and it ROCKED! There's no telling why the reject. Other than crack addiction I suppose . . . .

For those of you who own a DSLR, I want to make a completely unsolicited pitch for a product I just tried. I ordered a Copper Hill Sensor Swipe that came in the mail today. My D70 sensor was surprisingly easy to clean, considering how filthy it was. Blowing air (with the "Rocket" from Giottos) and charging a nylon brush with compressed air and brushing...

Ok well depending how long you are there for there are a few places that I loved.

I didn't hit the West Coast Islands at all cause I heard it was still pretty bad over on that end. But the East coast islands are beautiful.

Koh Samui. Gorgeous wanted and sand, we stayed in Chumpong (not sure of the spelling but it's the Northern east side) It was more of a "couples" kind of island, well at least from what we saw there.

Koh Phangnan is more the party island as that's where the full moon parties are held. They take a number out of that beach and after seeing what I saw I wouldn't swim in the water on that beach. puke BUT. Mai Pen Rai wich is on the east side of the island is gorgeous and very secluded. There are waterfall you can hike up to around there as well. It's a very nice relaxing place but be careful, it CAN suck you in there haha.

Koh Tao. Now this was my personal favourite, probably because that's where I got my diving certificates. There really isn't much of a beach there to chill on because the whole island is one big coral reef but it's still wonderful none the less. I stayed at the seashell resort in Sairee village. That island is SUPER small, you can go around it in a boat in probably less then 2 hours.

Bangkok is just a big city same as all big cities. Chiang Mai is up in the middle of the jungle, that's where I suggested the elephant ride. We did a jungle trek which was amazing and hot! haha. It's so worth it though. We didn't have the time but you can go farther north to the golden triangle which is even more secluded and less curropted by the modern english speaking world. It also requires you to get more shots and the malaria pills so we kind of avoided any place that was getting close to the boarders.

I hope this helped at all. Ask me anything more if you need to. I will help as best I can.

I've been participating in the Commodore's Cup - a week of sailing races and nightly parties - since Saturday. For our team's party (Napoleon Dynamite themed) we served tots, dang quesadillas, kool-aid, and built 5 cakes. I was in charge of glamour shots. They were, of course, 75% off, because I'm saving for college (my mom goes to college).

Here are some of the better...
