elusive eternal

the burden has gotten weary
and I've forgotten how to fly;
a memory unaccounted for
in this short and simple life, I

feel so high above
the struggles that hold me down, I
feel so far removed
from any answer coming soon, I

soar through the thermal drifts
with no trouble leaving ground, I
fly like I'm headed home,
that elusive eternal sky.
