Haha, well, I won't be far, let's just say that. wink But I prefer to leave my actual location undisclosed for... superhero reasons. Bwahaha!

Why, yes, we are.
vuokko:
Hah! I never thought of you as a potential stalker. I just know that it's easy for potential stalkers to read my posts to you and others, so I don't talk about it here. COme to another of my shows and we'll talk about it in person. smile

My dad died after I left. He wasn't in pain. Thank you for wishing him well.

In the midst of invigorating chaos at work, I have indulged in a new toy, poetic in this my time of 'staying away from material possessions as a means of tranquility'

Its a hi-res LCD projector, & I now assault my mailbox with netflix pics of all movies I've been kicking my own ass over not seeing, they're projected big as hell on my wall,...

I'M CAUGHT UP AT WORK, so suck on THAT.

Met a cute girl in the aisle at Kerr Drug, we chatted, totally enjoyed it, was smitten, then CHOKED. Didnt ask her to coffee (she was EVEN waiting on photos to develop), didnt get her last name, only that shes from Asheville, named Tiffany, & is a senior at UNC.

In a sad move, I emailed...

I'm all work & no artistic productivity these days, soul time. How do YOU get your art to come out? How do YOU make time?

I need to fall in love. Or atleast find a lover, it'll unlock me.

It depends on what you mean by closet fetishist- I'm assuming you are just in the closet meaning not too open about it as opposed to getting off on being in the closet.. ya never know. but- you should check out the BDSM group (Bondage Discipline Sadist Masochist)I'm sure you're farmiliar with the term. Also there is a really neat Shibari group that I'm a part of as well. Check em out and we can talk some more about it.

For all my life, whenever I made a mistake, no matter how big or small, my Mom never went with "it's okay we all make mistakes, just be at peace with it & keep moving & try to not repeat it". Instead, she has always searched for anything I did wrong & rubbed it in my face, my mistakes always happen because I LET them...

I haven't been perfoming much these days, but I might have a gig coming up at the Celtic New Year festival in a small town in Northern California. I prefer tribal percussion or a genre of musick that includes that, but can perform to a variety of things...

My mother is a pain in the ass too, but for me, it has always been my father who is overly critical. He never notices my accomplishments or what I do, instead he sees my failures and what I don't do. Oh well. Heres to being an emotional punching bag. :-p

I logon here every day, & my journal is NEVER inundated with posts from SG's with offers of no-strings sex & ego worship. Whats up with THAT?!

I'd offer, but I think your beard would tickle too much.

Thanks! The HTML problem seems to have gone away, so I am happy now. :-)

So THE NEWS - scored me a BIG OL FAT clinical job in this shitty economy, now I am horrible about self love, but I am the man

PLUS I bumped into an old supervisor tonight who wants to hire me as a therapist in CBT research in August. Shit, where were these offers when my self-estemm was all mashed into the ground like roadkill?...

happy birthday!!

yeah, anybody but bush.
and i've been envying the power a lot lately--the power to get a job in my field. i think having an MA is more of a hindrance than anything else. i'm either "over qualified" (whatever that means" or underqualified (ie, lacking a phd). feh. i'll just stay here in the mold and complain a bit longer.

THE premier Nordic 80's radio connection:

http://www.nwrweb.com/player/popup/minradio.no/glasnost84/48

Published again this month, a feature article on sex & disability, a piece in which I recounted graphically yet reverantly the best sex I've had to date, many details, still haven't told my ex I did it, wonder what she'll say?

I fear being pidgeon-holed, I dont want the label of 'disability writer', it just happens to be...

well, i practice holistic medicine in the sense that i was raised with more homeopathic than allopathic traditions, including healthy eating, acupuncture, chiropractic, massage, energy healing, et all, but i myself am not a practioner. that is probably what you meant, but i wanted to make sure i don't sound like an actual healer. i do massage for friends - not exactly the same thing.

as for school, i did undergrad in english/comm (w/ a bit of east asian studies for good measure) and am back in comm. i took a brief detour in law school, but that was in boston. i will be writing more and more about school stuff for cetain. right now i am in a master to phd program and ta'ing, so that is fun.

SUPER GOOD LUCK with the msw program. i was eyeballing the mph in mch myself, but had to go with my one true love, performance studies. i spent bits of time in public health, so those fields hold a ventricle in my heart. hopefully i will at least find the time for an epi class while i am here, but who knows.

you sound quite busy! glad that at least one working opportunity came through. uch, the challenge of state funding!

as for the tori, i must admit that the live "precious things" from venus, "tear in yr hand", and "batchelorette" are kind of the kickers. of coure, different songs for different times - all of them (almost) stand for something.

ChiChiRangers... interesting. biggrin

Fucking hell, please disregard that last post if anyone read it, I get in those places sometimes & was just curious what might happen if I blurted out about it, kaboom, kabam....spontaneous emotional combustion.........
chiquita:

i'm off the sg now (or real soon)

take good care! you're a good guy, don't forget it!
