This is the first blog I have ever written!
I have been trying to figure out how the best way to travel as a single dad , with hotel costs so high (in any good location to go with a child) and she is only 3 so there comes the issue of I would want to enjoy time after she goes to bed but your stuck siting and watching tv till you fall asleep!
I say no more I want to embrace the enjoyment and fun of traveling and I think I found the way to do it as a single dad or mom for you amazing ladies out there, it just takes another single parent wanting to do the same thing... Travel!
flight costs; well flight costs are flight costs costs unfortunately nothing you can do there everyone has to pay there own :(
hotels; that's where things start to change and get easier on the pocket book, hotels already add a charge to rooms for 2 adults even if your only one, so they won't charge extra for another adult or child which means each group only pays there half of the hotel bills
Entertainment; this one wether it be park passes for Disney world or a water park there is always a family discount for 4 or more guests, even if your a single dad traveling with a single dad they usually won't question as long as you don't give a reason for them to, maybe only a couple extra dollars saved but that spaced out every day over a week helps out,
After the kids go to bed; even just having the company of a person to watch tv with can make your vacation that much better.
Okay let's quickly sum things up flights are flights :(, hotels split the costs, entertainment has family rates, your only child (if there one) has someone to enjoy the vacation with that is closer to there age and so do you single parents,
Now I have been wanting to take my 3 year old daughter to Disney land or world because it's where I grew up going and want to share and show her everything plus she wants to meet stitch but I can't afford this alone is there any amazing single parents out there who want to go?
