Hmmmmm.... How are you all doing, then?
Well I hope. I'm not really too bad lately as is happens. Sorry for the infrequent visits here currently.. Purely down to the old "not enough hours in the day" excuse.
What have I been up to then? Still massively impressed with the lovely little town of Brighton. Went down to celebrate a mates birthday and had a whale of a time. Somehow managed to get top rooms at the Grand Hotel which was freekin marvellous. You should have seen the valet's face when us scruffy northern rock-tosspots got out in front of the hotel. "Park this my good man. Mind the paint work, see voo plate..." @_@
After the tuesday raid in work from the t.s. people (no not trans-sexuals) looking for counterfeit t-shirt designs, they unfortunately left without the headline busting haul of fake Hilfiger goods they thought they would find.
Mmmmm. Nice, just what you need to shut us down for the day ahead of the Leeds-Reading festivals. Good stuff. The week got much better towards the end though (hahahaha BANK HOLIDAYS! Whoopee!).
On friday, we headed to the sunny metropolis of Stockport to see The Kings of Denmark, Blue Demon and The Meteors which has to be one of the best gigs of the year. The sound wasn't amazing but the crowd were great and the bands rocked the 'intimate' (sorry... piss-small) venue like legends!
Saturday night was also quite good fun too. I took Catherine to the Bank for a few pints and met up with the usual crowd. With it being a bank holiday weekend Maggie had a later licence than usual, so we had an extra hour or so. Had a chat to a bunch of old Teds who flatly refused to believe I was 27. I'm not sure how I feel about that. Guess I shouldn't whine!
Afterwards we had a bit of a dance in Tiger Lounge which was ace. See, its nice knowing the owners of all these establishments, as we got in and escorted to some decent seats... Not too far from the band Dog Toffee/DTX... Ah, the rock gentry.. Nice to be amongst them cluttering the place up
Anyways, take care. I'm off for a stroll! xxXxXxx
