Well, hell. Its update time...
I hope everyone had as good a weekend as I did! Work was not entirely unsatisfying. The second art-worker bloke came back from his trip to Egypt leaving me more time to finetune my designs. As a result I got a few comments from the hard-nosed t-shirt grafters! Positive feedback?? Me? Good god, what next??
Friday was a fitting end to the week! met up with band cohort, guitarist and got some tea. Headed back to mine before the gig. Hair cut, coifed we arrived in Manc again for a really good gig. Our friends, Blue Demon were playing their first gig in Manc. I really hope they enjoyed voodoo as much as us hack and cynics did. Bravo, guys. The cd kicks soo much ass its untrue... Also, Kid Voodoo, erstwhile organisers and fine musicians put on a great performance too... But you know that already, don't ya?
On the way home, we bumped into two crazy girls who had drunk substantially more than they should... They were mere seconds away from barfing in Wainy's car. I could almost HEAR the bile shifting! LOVELY
Saturday, met up with a few of my scouse amigos in manc. It was really strange to be on my own turf with them. From what I could gather, they were still subscribers to the horrendous rivallry which is common in the two cities. I'm not too sure about certain areas of Liverpool, but as far as I know the whole hatred is at last not too much of an issue, especially in the obscure places I find meself... I KNEW as long as we pub-crawled with a little common sense there was no chance of any trouble. I especially liked the welcome at the Star and Garter's indie/punk night. I highly doubt there can be many night-clubs with open coal fires, eh? Music and clientelle were pretty decent too. Must remember though to NOT mix 4 pints of lager with 4 bottles of Staropramen and 3 doubles of Jim Beam... hehe.. MY TURN!!!
Sunday was a very productive band practice, wasn't it dogboy? We ditched a track which was erring on the camp/gay disco number and introduced our new second guitarist! Great stuff.
anyways.. I've got another slog ahead of me next week. Got to start planning for the t in the park/reading/leeds and v tshirts Im bound to get lumbered with.
Keep rocking. xXx @_@
